The Bologna National Picture Gallery houses a small unfinished painting written by El Greco during the brief period when he was in Venice.
This is one of the first works of his oil, before that he wrote tempera on wooden boards. “The Last Supper” was never completed by the artist. In a manner of execution, she is close to the Modena triptych, created at the same time. In this work, the perspective is not yet sufficiently worked out, the figures are frozen in unnatural positions.
