But it was especially noteworthy that here was the sanctuary of Kumano Juni, in which twelve of the twelve different temples of Kumano were gathered.

This sanctuary is depicted at the bottom edge of the engraving. Dzunisya in translation means – the Twelve Sanctuaries. He was also called Junyusoden, later Junizo, which meant “Twelve seats”, “Twelve pairs”. It was located in a picturesque park, on the shore of an artificial reservoir, occupying most of the leaf. Soon the sanctuary was surrounded by tea houses and restaurants. “Merry Quarter” Uunahadzu was also located in close proximity to him.

A large two-storey restaurant, adjacent to the sanctuary, can be seen at the bottom of the sheet. In the distance, behind a strip of white-yellow fog, the silhouette of a mountain overgrown with forest grows darker. All the details in the engraving are drawn very thinly and carefully.
