The beginning of the artistic path of Munch was unremarkable. His early works are small in size, inexpressive in the plot and, in general, leave the viewer indifferent. These include family portraits, sketches of figures, interiors, still lifes and landscapes – like the painting “Valley of Mari”. Munch was very tired of being like others very quickly.
Fracture occurred very early. It was then that Munch wrote “Sick Child”, where not the object itself, but the experiences associated with it, come to the fore.
