The icon is part of the cycle of the Color Triod, which consisted of several icons with a similar composition. In the church, this cycle could be placed in a common kiot of a horizontal format.
At present, such ancient triode icons are extremely rare. Coloristic features of the work bring him closer to the iconography of the Central Russian cities of the second half of the 16th century, which was formed on the basis of the Rostov art tradition.
