The picture “Potter-musician”, 1618-22 researchers for a long time considered a copy. Only with the restoration, undertaken in 1988, it became clear that this is the original brush of Khals. The picture depicts a person who entertains children by playing on the so-called “Rommel pot”. This tool was done by pulling on the throat of a clay pot a porcine bladder.
“Musician” drives the bubble with the tip of a dry cane, which produces a hideous grating sound. This fun is very like children, they just scream with delight. In the background, the attentive viewer sees an old woman peering out the door. Her face is a smile, or a desperate grimace.
