The activities of Bryullov in Turkey were not limited to the creation of everyday scenes, portraits, landscapes. Feeling attracted to the theater, he took part in home – performances, arranged in the house of the Russian envoy A. P. Butenev. He gets acquainted with his family, and writes a watercolor portrait of the envoy’s wife, MI Buteneva and her daughter.
At the open balcony, bending to the cradle, Buteneva gently lifts up her little daughter.
