Vincent Van Gogh created the painting “Fields of Tulips” in 1883. At that time he studied painting in one of the academies. Already at that time the artist began to torment the signs of his mental illness. The creator had attacks of aggression, he often fell into depression, all because he could not reconcile himself, with his existence.
Training in the academy helped Vincent relax, softened the symptoms of the disease. The manner of painting, which he studied there, was soft and smooth, which helped the artist distract from the hustle and bustle of life, gave time to calmly think over many things, and his paintings were filled with warmth and light.
First of all, the picture strikes the eyes of huge fields of tulips of various colors. Tulips adorn the sunset light, making their color even more magical. Van Gogh liked to depict in the pictures of people, this picture was no exception. A man walks in the distance among the flower fields, he works, looks after the flowers, checks their condition, guards them. At that time such work was a frequent occurrence, many people worked on flower plantations, especially in those regions where the floriculture actively spread.
In this canvas, Van Gogh tried to play on the contrast of colors, which helped him to show better the bright places, to make a voluminous picture, so that the attention and view of the viewer falls first of all on the beautiful tulips. The rest of the paintings are not so important and remain behind, but even they are executed clearly and naturally, so as not to spoil the general mood of the picture. The picture is visually divided into two zones. In the lower part there are flowers, and at the top there are several dilapidated houses, dark trees and clouds filled with clouds.
Despite the fact that the flowers occupy most of the picture, without outside objects, the picture would seem empty. Van Gogh was a master of detail, he was always able to notice the necessary little things and depict them so that they could be seen by everyone.
