
Hans Baldung Green was the most resourceful and talented pupil of Durer and was distinguished for his special style. The works of Hans Baldung were expressionistic, creative, bright and colorful.
His creative heritage is vast and varied; includes except religious works, allegories, mythological and genre paintings, portraits, drawings, stained-glass windows and tapestries, as well as a large number of graphic works, in particular, book illustrations. The creative heritage of Baldung consists of about 90 paintings and altar works, about 350 drawings, 180 prints and a lot of book illustrations.
Eroticism is often present in his engravings, especially in the last period of creativity. The most famous of which is Hans Baldung’s engraving “The Enchanted Bridegroom”, which was interpreted by contemporaries and researchers of his work, as an allegory of passion.
