Day “Day” from the cycle “Day” – despite all the seemingly negligence and fluency of the technique of execution – seems laconic. And this is because nothing here does not go into the eyes at the mercy of the artist. Very thick shadows… And what about shrubs from the shady side? .. Very much the flowery cloud… And what in nature to be so twisted, how not a cloud? ..
Nothing at first you will not consider in the picture, except for a few schematized unimaginative landscape. But too much, it seems, inattentively took the artist to his nature. Is it not on purpose? .. And suddenly you notice, looking at the bushes – it’s a green monster creeping out from behind the horizon, and the clouds above it – it’s its mirror image, like a mirage creeping over it in the sky.
The monster is not revealed sharply, the name of the picture itself does not prepare anything. You can live day after day and not even notice it, if it does not crawl out more than it does now. You can generally deny its existence: no one is as blind as one who does not want to see. But he who saw it is clear that if it crawls out, prosperity ends. And here’s the question: can people somehow come into contact with a monster, beg, that it crawls back?
