A. Alekseev’s painting “Workshop AG Venetsianov”, where in a large room, made with plaster casts, hung with picturesque sketches, several young men settled down to work from nature and draw from plaster.

For this picture in 1827 Alekseev was recognized as worthy of awarding with a gold medal of the 2 nd degree, which he received in 1829. In 1827 the painting was acquired by P. P. Svinin for the “Russian Museum”; like the rest of the collection, it was obviously sold to them at auction in 1834.
