Under the friendly laughter of the surrounding healer-charlatan heals the head of the patient, who is clearly not up to laughter, although he does his best to show that he is also funny. The artist here, after all, is more likely to have fun with others than is distressed in this situation. The absurdity of what is happening is emphasized by an additional scene behind the back of a charlatan, where from the 2nd floor a man pours water from a jug. which another man tries to catch from below.
