According to E. Azzarkina, the literary source of the plot was the cantata of the same name, dedicated to the victory of the Russians over the French.
The plot of ancient Greek mythology. The son of Zeus and Danai Perseus – one of the favorite heroes of ancient myths, committed many feats. Among his heroic accomplishments is the liberation of the daughter of the Ethiopian king Kefei – the beautiful Andromeda from the sea monster. Andromeda became the wife of the hero.
