Compared with the decade of active participation in exhibitions, for the remaining thirty years Kuindzhi did relatively little.
According to the memoirs of the artist’s friends, in the early 1900s Kuindzhi invited them to his studio and showed the paintings “Evening in Ukraine”, “Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane”, “Dnepr” and “Birch Grove”, with which they were admired. But Kuindzhi was dissatisfied with these works and did not present them at the exhibition.
