Painting by Italian artist Sebastian Ricci “Bathing Bathsheba”. The size of the picture is 109 x 142 cm, oil on canvas. In 1716, not satisfied with the payment by the British of his works, Ricci went to Paris, where he became a member of the Royal Academy of Arts for his work “The Triumph of Wisdom over Ignorance”, and soon finally returned to Venice.
Two paintings, painted by the painter in the mid-1720s, filled with a silvery vibrating light, are an example of the in-depth chromatism of painting that goes back to the works of Paolo Veronese.
