Shebuev created a sketch of the murals of the dome of the conference hall of the Academy of Arts; in 1836, he performed sketches of the dome and the iconostasis for the Catherine Church in the building of the Academy of Arts.
He worked on decorating the palace church in Tsarskoe Selo, Izmailovsky and St. Isaac’s cathedrals in St. Petersburg. All these works are distinguished by a magnificent composite solution, an organic relationship with the peculiarities of a particular interior, its lighting, and so on.
