The art of the remarkable Soviet landscape painter N. M. Romadin, despite its simplicity and accessibility even for an inexperienced spectator, is revealed in all its depth only as a result of long and close study.
We are easily imbued with the mood of the artist’s landscapes, we are close to the plots that he constantly develops, but not always the viewer immediately comprehends the content of these masterfully written landscapes.
The point is not in the deliberate encrypted-STI and not in some special, hidden meaning Romadinsky canvases. This only means that the works of Romadin contain a very wide range of thoughts and feelings, that the images of nature he created give rise to a lot of associations.
