One of the many portraits of members of the Medici family of the painter Allori, the court painter of the Duke of Tuscany. Isabella Medici was the daughter of the Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo I and Eleonora of Toledo.
Isabella Medici was a very young girl who married a representative of another noble family, Paolo Giordano Orsini, who, in a fit of rage, killed Isabella in Gaudi’s villa for her numerous infidelities and love affairs.
