
At the turn of the century, Dürer becomes widely known. He approaches the circle of German humanist scholars – V. Pirkheimer and others. His scientific studies unfold in full force. Like Leonardo da Vinci, Durer was interested in a wide variety of scientific issues.
From a young age and throughout his life, he turned to the study of plants and animals, he also studied building and fortification.
Around 1500 Durer has performed several monumental custom-made works. Paumgartner’s altar, “Lamentation of Christ”, “Adoration of the Magi” are the first in German art religious compositions of a purely Renaissance character.
