In a closed state on the triptych, the figures of Mary and the archangel Gabriel are seen in separate niches, as is supposed in the Annunciation. They are made in grisaille technique, and their images imitate stone sculptures.
The sector with the right arm of the angel is damaged. According to the shadow cast by the dove, it can be seen that he is literally “attached” to the space of the picture. The expressiveness of the images and the play of light and shade strongly resemble the work of Robert Kampen.
