Angels are in important moments of human history the Old Testament patriarchs and the righteous: Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Lot and other biblical characters. In the New Testament, angels serve Jesus Christ and the doctrine preached to them: they proclaim and glorify the Savior’s birth, serve Christ after the temptation in the wilderness, proclaim the resurrection of Christ and his ascension to heaven, are apostles and saints, and also take an active part in the future Dreadful Court.
