Bust refers to a special group of small “intimate”, accentuatedly non-parade portraits. They do not have the representativeness inherent in early work. General-Field Marshal Prince Nikolai Vasilievich Repnin, a participant in the Seven Years and Russian-Turkish wars. In 1792 after the arrest of NI Novikov, with whom he was connected through the Masons, fell into disgrace with the Empress Catherine II.
