Scott Pryor in his picture “A Bonfire on the Shore” captured a picnic by the lake. A group of people gathered around the campfire, while three other men and a teenager are a little apart. Thick twilight descended over the lake, and the fire is warm and cozy.
Special attention deserves the artistic decision of this picture, special techniques of painting. Such a contrast is inherent except for Nicholas Roerich with his clear boundaries of light and shadow, open pure colors. The cut, it seems, diagonally, the canvas unites into one whole a bright spot of a burnt-out fire.
