Roman Modigliani with Beatrice Hastings was a typical bohemian novel – with inordinate libations, endless conversations about art, scandals and scuffles, crazy love. He lasted for two years – then Beatrice simply ran away from the artist.
In general, Modigliani loved women, even chased him. And at the same time the artist, in the words of Anna Akhmatova, “was surrounded by a dense ring of solitude.” These words should be heeded – Akhmatova also did not escape the spell of Modigliani.
