Artist in the workshop by Adrian van Ostade

Adrian van Ostade is a Dutch baroque artist. He studied with Frans Hals, and later Rembrandt strongly influenced his creative manner, but the talented Flemish genre painter Adrian Brauver had a special impact. So Ostade became the byte-writer of the Dutch.

The heroes of his paintings, as a rule, are simple people, hence the corresponding plots: scenes in the tavern, drunken brethren, musicians drunk.

On the presented canvas plot decent. Some believe that this is a self-portrait painter. Anyway, the view of the workshop and the artist selflessly working in it evokes a kind feeling: a spacious room flooded with light from a beautifully barred window, a mess that can be considered creative… Everything is done in warm harmonious tones. In short, the picture creates a romantic mood, causes sadness in the old days and a state of complete immersion in creativity.
