St. Mark on the pulpit with the saints by Titian Vecellio

St. Mark on the pulpit with the saints by Titian Vecellio

The picture is written about the termination of the plague in 1510, during which Giorgione died, and Titian moved to Padua.

With the originality, devoid of prejudice, the artist placed in the sky a cloud that obscures St. Mark’s face, thereby “meteorologically” emphasizing the dynamism of painting and only observing the composition canon outwardly. It should be noted that the background architecture also becomes completely asymmetric.
