Self-portrait of the Dutch artist Joachim Eiteval. The size of the picture is 98 x 73.6 cm, canvas, oil. The portrait was written by Eytewal at the age of thirty-five in the heyday of his work.
Actually, all the best portraits created by the artist are stored in the city museum in his homeland, in Utrecht. Among them are paired portraits of Johann Pater and his wife, nee Antoinette Ethewal, the artist’s sister, as well as the portrait of Eva Eytale, the painter’s wife.
