The artist depicts the pleasant features of her model: she has a tender look and gentle, feminine features. Vorontsova Praskovya Fedorovna is the daughter of Fyodor Alekseevich Kvashnina-Samarina and Alexandra Yuryevna, the wife of Artemy Ivanovich Vorontsova her mother Alexandra Yuryevna Kvashnina-Samarina, nee Rzhevskaya.
According to her son-in-law, Count D. P. Buturlina, Alexandra Yuryevna was a woman “very reasonable and trusted.” She died at the age of 47 and was buried at the Lazarevsky cemetery of the Aleksadro-Nevsky Lavra. Portraits of the Vorontsov family come from the collection of A. K. Boldyrev, the grandson of the younger daughter of A. I. Vorontsov – Praskovya Artemyevna Timofeeva.
