You can argue as much as you like about which themes are the most important in the work of Eric Fischle, whether they are right or wrong from the point of view of both the viewer and the critic, but the fact that his paintings leave no one indifferent remains the fact. The picture “Once Death Will Affect Our Families” is simply tangibly dramatic.
Almost a physical sense of grief that fell on a man and a ringing hopeless silence. The simplicity of revealing the plot is striking. A man with the body of his beloved woman in his arms walks around the empty apartment. Confused, still not believing in what happened, afraid to let go. His hope, his joy, died, the one without which the word “tomorrow” lost its meaning. It is impossible to comprehend with the mind and it is difficult to reconcile. This must be able to survive.
