Keith Parkinson began his career as an artist with creating illustrated calendars for fantasy worlds, but in the mid 80s of the last century, Parkinson actively collaborated with TSR, the owner of the role-playing games of the lost world Dungeons and Dragons, the universe of Dragonlance and the fantasy world Forgotten Realms.
The creators of this book cycle about other worlds are Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman.
