Painted in 1988, Michael Parkes called Night and Day. In the weightless air atmosphere of the world of Parkes, surrounding his paintings, it is quite obvious to everyone how these worlds are destroyed, transformed and re-created at the request of the artist’s heart.

Man and woman, an allegory of day and night, the unity and struggle of opposites. In Eastern mythology, enchanted animals and sorcerer animals are often found, cats are more often than others. In the painting “Night and Day” the cat sits near the bowl with fragrant smoking.
