Painting by artist Tiziano Vecellio “The Madonna of the Pesaro family”. The size of the picture is 478 x 268 cm, canvas, oil. Clear and deep spirituality is felt in the figures of the altar composition “Madonna of Pesaro”. In it, the master was able to give participants in this seemingly only ceremonial scene a rich spiritual life, a clear balance of mental forces.
It is characteristic that the major sonority of the color accord of the composition – the shining white veil of Mary, the blue, cherry, carmine, golden tones of clothes, green carpet – does not turn the picture into an outwardly decorative sight, which prevents people from perceiving the image. On the contrary, the picturesque scale is in full harmony with the bright, colorful and expressive characters of the characters depicted. The boy’s head is especially charming.
With a restrained vivacity, he turned his head towards the viewer, his eyes damp and pure shine filled with young interest and attention to life, to the left of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Saint Anthony of Padua and the family of Pesaro; on the right: the Apostle Peter and the kneeling priest-bishop Jacopo Pesaro and the soldier with the captive Turk and bishop’s banner. The customer of the picture was Bishop Pesaro himself.
