In this picture, which is called “In the Fairy Forest,” the photo-realist artist Will Cotton placed his model in an unusual setting – in a fairytale forest where amazing trees grow, a quiet river flows with stony banks.
But, having looked narrowly, we see that these are not crowns of mysterious trees, but pineapples familiar to all of us have exposed thorny sides, logs that have formed huge debris – these are straws with chocolate filling, and boulders on the river banks remind us very much of candy with chocolate icing. The little figure of the girl was lost among all this splendor. She is not wearing clothes, but she is not cold at all and she looks at the enchanted forest with curiosity. It’s like Alice, who came to the land of miracles.
