In the picture “Dutch interior with a bodybuilder” American artist Gaius Johnson depicts a blue-eyed bodybuilder in a white dress.
The girl with a smile demonstrates the relief muscles. The room is furnished with baroque furniture, mirrors in gilded relief frames hang. And the furniture, and even the room itself, seem small compared to the powerful pumped-up figure of a beauty.
Leaving the interior classics in the background and showing it to be smaller and, perhaps, petty-bourgeois, most likely, Guy Johnson wanted to establish this new concept of beauty and aesthetics in art and in life. Admiration of the author of the picture by a beautiful model is unconditional.
