After five years of studying at the School of Arts in Zaragoza in Florida, Guy Johnson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Further education and a master’s degree was received at the University of Florida in 1952. The picture of the American artist “Class 24” captures the entire graduating class with the teacher in the year of graduation from the university.
The whole upper part of the picture is occupied by the airship drawing; in the foreground – the final group of students: serious persons, the same form; in front of them the artist painted several red pots with green shoots, which, in all likelihood, represent the sprouts of the ideas that were born and the accomplishments of future celebrities. In the center of the picture the leader of the graduating class is depicted; He has a gray mustache and an optimistic view of the future of his pets.
