The most famous creation of the master is the reliquary of Cancer of sv. Ursula It is decorated with six compositions that tell about the pilgrimage to Rome of a young princess from Brittany and her martyrdom.
This graceful and naively straightforward narration is the quintessence of Memling’s art.
