The Crucifixion by Giovanni Bellini

In a beautifully interpreted interpretation of space, Bellini appeals to Antonello’s lessons and adds to them the geometric rigor of volumes.

Striving for a more precise elevated and monumental space, the artist at the same time uses purely pictorial effects anticipating the trends of the Cinquecento.
