The American artist borrowed this warlike beauty, most likely from Indian folklore.
Painted in 1988, Michael Parkes called The Proud Procession. The head of the warrior is decorated with horns, the neck is protected by a high metal collar, on the shoulder a fairytale animal resembling a cat. They rushed forward, where a strange cat, looking like an evil wizard, points with its disgusting paw. A dog with lazy eyes at the bottom of the picture also makes a very strange impression.
