Olenina’s hobbies and his matchmaking, E. Olenin was sharply opposed the alleged marriage, in part because of the political reputation of the poet. Conservative and deeply religious, E. Olenin, according to ON Ohom, resented the blasphemous poems of Pushkin, especially the then-poem “Gavriiliada.” 5 Sept. 1828 AA Olenina wrote in her diary about the “severe” attitude of the mother to Pushkin.
