Perovsky, better known under the literary pseudonym of Pogorelsky – writer of the Pushkin era, son of gr. Alexei Kirillovich Razumovsky and Marya Mikhailovna Sobolevskaya. Having received excellent home education, in 1805 he entered the Moscow University; in 1807, “produced” in the doctor of philosophy and verbal sciences, for which he was to read 3 test lectures, in languages Russian, German and French.
In 1813, participated in the battles of Dresden and Kulm, then was appointed senior adjutant under Prince NG Repnine, Governor-General of the Kingdom of Saxony, and for about two years lived in Dresden. He was friendly with Delvig and other friends of Pushkin. In the last years of his life he diligently engaged in the education of his nephew, the future poet, Count Alexei Tolstoy.
Known under the pseudonym A. Pogorelsky, as the author of a magical tale for children: “Black Hen, or Underground residents.”
