The well-known Argentine artist Gustavo Cabral, more familiar under the name of Ciruelo, was born in Buenos Aires on July 20, 1963. In his work, as an artist, Kieruelo Cabral prefers the genre of fantasy; characters of his paintings, illustrations and lithographs, mostly are the heroes of fantastic books, monsters, dragons and snakes.
In the picture of Kieruelo Cabral “The Northern Legend” shows the last battle of the proud Amazon. Hiding in a shield, the girl sees an armed men approaching her with a dog and a fighting bird on her shoulder. Among the rocky snow-capped mountains, they long pursued it and now found unarmed and weakened. But she is not going to give up – the brave Amazon is ready to take the last fight.
