The most famous painting from the collection of the gallery of the College of the Church of Christ – “Meat shop” Annibale Carracci. It is considered to be the first attempt in the history of painting to interpret the genre scene monumentally.
Some critics suggest that the famous brothers Carracci – Lodovico, Aostico and Annibale – served as models for the heroes of this work.
