The painting “Mars, Venus and Volcano” by the Dutch painter Joachim Eiteval wrote on the basis of the mythological stories of the ancient Romans.
Thus, for example, Venus, revered in some cities of Italy as Frutis, was later identified by the Romans with the mother of Aeneas Aphrodite. The size of the picture is 21 x 16 cm, canvas, oil.
The full title of the painting “Mars and Venus in a love game, caught by her husband Venera Vulcan.” In the picture in a playful manner, the artist Eytale depicted a juicy scene of adultery in the circle of the Olympic gods.
