Painting of the French artist Jean Honore Fragonard “Inspiration”. The size of the picture is 80 x 65,5 cm, canvas, oil. Each image in the series of portraits “Fantastic figures” is endowed with a special emotional expressiveness, as in a series of portraits that convey creative “states.”
The models are depicted in gusty, unusual counterposts. The French portrait did not yet know such a composite and picturesque expression. The prototypes of both series were real persons. It is no accident that the poses, costumes, features of the faces of models in the paintings “Inspiration” and “Portrait of the Artist” are so close.
