The painting “The Healing of the Blind” is written in the Gospel story. Against the background of a rather rigidly executed landscape with picturesque examples of architecture among trees, a group of people is shown, consisting, as it were, of two parts: Christ with the disciples and a group of citizens with a kneeling blind man whom Christ touches with his hand.
In the composition of the picture reigns cold clarity. Everything is correct, everything is in place, everything is perfectly drawn, but nothing hurts the soul, does not make the heart stand still with delight. The artist seemed to have forgotten about his recent fascination with Titian.
