In the created image, the sculptor convincingly shows different facets of character. In the face, animated by a slight smile, in an astute gaze the features of an intelligent and energetic statesman are revealed.
The lower part of the face is heavily and massively interpreted: sagging, lost cheek elasticity, double chin, sensual lips. There is the image of a man spoiled and full of life, cunning and ambitious.
Alexander Andreevich Bezborodko – statesman, diplomat, state secretary of the Empress Catherine II. Count, chancellor and prince. Since 1784 he headed the College of Foreign Affairs.
