The characteristic technique of painting Baroque – “breakthrough” in the transcendental heights – artist Andrea Pozzo applied masterfully in his best fresco “Allegory of Jesuit Brotherhood Works of Missionary” of St. Ignatius Cathedral in Rome.
The picture of the heavenly celebration of saints is framed by an image of architectural details that continue the real architecture of the temple. Pozzo invented many new perspectives – in a huge composition there are very few repetitive postures and turns.
