In 1987, Kiruelo Cabral moved to Spain. In Barcelona, the artist begins to work as an illustrator for the publishing house Timun Mas, who specialized in the fantasy genre. Cabral then significantly expanded his horizons and practically worked for companies around the world, including publishers in the United States, Germany, Spain, etc.
Written with humor, Kieruelo’s painting “The Abduction of Europe” is quite a free interpretation of the famous myth about the abduction of the beautiful Europe by Zeus. A wicked old man is kidnapped in the picture of Cabral by the wicked Europe, and instead of a beautiful white bull, swimming in the sea, is a ship. The head of a poor animal is also represented in the picture. The artist’s luck, of course, is the foreground of the picture, which pushed all the rest to second place.
