To a greater extent, Mondrian is known for works in the style of “neoplasticism”. A form of abstract art, different from the then popular Cubism and Futurism, was born by the early 1920s.

In this paper, which has become one of the first in the new direction, the dominant block of red is balanced by small blocks of other colors.
