Prince Alexander Andreevich, statesman, educated at the Kiev Academy. From 1765, Bezborodko was enrolled in the comrades-in-arms and was appointed governor of the office of the Little Russian Governor-General, Count Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky.

In 1767, Prince Bezborodko. He was appointed a member of the Little Russian General Court, and two years later, when the war with Turkey began, he entered military service and marched to the Bug with the Nezhin regiment and later commanded over the regiments: Lubensky, Mirgorod and social. According to the transfer of Rumyantsev to the first army, Bezborodko followed him and took part in the battles of Larg, Cahul and in the storming of the Silistrian fortifications.

Upon the conclusion of the Kuchuk-Kainarji world, Rumyantsev drew the attention of Empress Catherine II to Bezborodko, and in 1775 he was appointed secretary to the empress for accepting applications submitted to the Highest Name. In this position, Catherine II soon appreciated Bezborodko’s abilities, his performance, a good concise and precise style in business papers, and he became her favorite speaker. In 1780, Bezborodko accompanied the Empress on her journey through Belarus, in which her first meeting with Emperor Joseph II took place. Bezborodko was charged with keeping a “daily note,” that is, a travel journal.

Since that time, Empress Catherine II has attracted him to discuss foreign policy issues. To its credit, it should be noted that he owes his brilliant career to less-than-usual favoritism at the court of Catherine II, as well as his extraordinary talents. Bezborodko possessed an extraordinary memory and amazing performance. Bezborodko joined the broad life of the hospitable host and patron in the field of fine arts and literature with the multilateral state activity. He collected a rich collection of paintings and art objects.
