Hiroshige shows the intersection of two canals, which play an important role in the unified system of rivers and canals of Edo, connecting with the main artery of the Eastern capital – the Sumidagawa River. Bottom up, to the north, is Kitajikkengawa. At right angles, the Ekozik-kengava flows to the west.
